ICASEC transferred to Verbund-Zentrum
The International Center for Advanced Studies of Energy Conversion (ICASEC) was transformed into a Verbund-Zentrum as part of the University of Göttingen’s new Zentrums-Richtlinie. ICASEC was founded in 2015 with the aim of making a sustainable and long-term contribution to scientific problems related to the production, consumption and storage of energy in all its forms. The focus is on strengthening basic research in the field of energy research.
ICASEC offers an environment on the Göttingen North Campus that promotes basic research in the field of energy. It encourages its members in various ways to start energy-related research projects and turn them into externally funded projects. Summer schools, workshops and international exchanges supported by ICASEC provide fertile ground for new ideas and international cooperation as well as increasing the visibility of the University of Göttingen.
