About the Summer School
The International Center for Advanced Studies of Energy Conversion is organizing a Summer School. The summer school „Ultrafast Dynamics in Solids“ will provide an introduction to the physics of photo-induced non-equilibrium processes in solids. Geared to an audience of M.Sc. and early PhD students, the summer school will provide a general overview of electron, lattice, and spin dynamics following optical excitation. Lectures given by leading scientists in the field will introduce the important scientific questions in ultrafast solid state physics, as well as the respective experimental and theoretical methodologies to address them. These introductory talks will be complemented by research presentations on recent results and topics of high current interest. The attending students will be given the opportunity to present their planned and ongoing thesis work in poster sessions. Social events will provide opportunities for exchange with the speakers and other attendants.
Costs for accommodation in double rooms, breakfast and lunch are fully covered by ICASEC. Participants are expected to cover their travel costs.
Thanks!
Thanks to everybody who participated in making the Summer School a success. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Göttingen.
