The International Center for Advanced Studies of Energy Conversion supported the International Workshop on Correlated Dynamics in Energy Conversion – IWCE 2019 which took place in Göttingen from the 2nd to the 4th of September in 2019. The workshop was organzied by the members of the CRC 1073.

About the Workshop

The rising number of international conferences on energy topics reflects the urgent societal need for the transformation of our energy basis to renewable sources. While sustainable technical solutions have already been developed and can be rapidly applied, fundamental understanding of energy conversion processes that lead to the development of new materials needs still to be improved, specifically for phenomena that arises from the correlation of multiple degrees of freedoms. Our workshop was therefore dedicated to close this gap and focus on correlated dynamics in energy conversion processes. More details about the Workshop can be found on the webpage and the flyer.

We hope you had three pleasant and stimulating days for scientific exchange and discussion of fascinating science. We enjoyed presentations from internationally leading groups as well as examples from the Collaborative Research Center CRC 1073 in Göttingen within an interactive and interdisciplinary format.
