Material physics of oxide nano-scale materials, structure property relations of strongly correlated oxides, oxide materials for energy conversion in the fields of photovoltaics, thermoelectrics and photocatalytic energy conversion. Methods: high quality materials synthesis with a focus on thin films and nanocomposites; sputtering techniques; self-organized nanostructures. Electric and thermal transport, magneto-optical imaging, electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction and spectroscopy. Special focus on in-situ and analytical transmission electron microscopy combined with electrical, optical and thermal stimulation, Environmental TEM. Deatails can be found on our Homepage.
