Research

Our research addresses the theoretical description of transport phenomena in various systems, including soft matter, friction or damping on solid surfaces, and electromagnetic energy transport and forces in nanoscopic structures. Among other things, we develop microscopic modelling approaches and field theoretic frameworks for stochastic systems far from equilibrium. Recently, we have been especially interested in phenomena arising from non-Markovianity, non-reciprocity or nonlinearity of the considered system. Details can be found on our Homepage.
