Arrival by plane

The nearest international airport to Göttingen is Hannover. Transfer from the airport to the main station lasts 20-30 minutes. From Hannover main station the Intercity express (ICE) needs 33 minutes to reach Göttingen.

Oversea flights arrive at Frankfurt or Hamburg which are the second nearest airports to Göttingen. You can reach Göttingen from Frankfurt or Hamburg by a direct train connection which lasts about 2 hours.

Arrival by Train

After arriving at the Göttingen railway Station, proceed to the eastern exit of the railway station and take the bus lines no. 61 or 62 direction Dransfeld and get off the bus at “Dransfelder Straße”. The stop is exactly opposite our hotel.

Alternatively you may take a cab just in front of the western exit of the railway station which takes you to the HOTEL FREIZEIT IN within 10 – 12 minutes.

Arrival by car

You reach the HOTEL FREIZEIT IN via the motorway A7. Northbound, please take the first exit (no. 73, Göttingen-Dransfels) and then keep driving in a leftward direction towards Dransfeld. The hotel is situated on the left. Southbound please take the second exit (Göttingen-Dransfeld) and keep driving in a leftward direction towards Dransfeld. The hotel is situated on the left.
